Willdave Laboratories (Pvt) Ltd is a company incorporated in Zimbabwe which operates from the capital city of Zimbabwe as a supplier of laboratory equipment such as Bunsen burners, titration equipment and medical equipment, chemicals for schools, college laboratories and hospitals. The company extends its wing into construction and fitting of school laboratories among other business.
Over the past ten years there has been a general deterioration in educational standards and hospitals owing to the preceding economic downturn in the country. The inflationary pressures on the country made it difficult for local chemical manufacturing companies to meet the demand for chemicals in Zimbabwe and for schools, hospitals and colleges in particular. This meant that the later have had to import these chemicals obviously at a high cost. A further deterioration of laboratories in the country has also been witnessed.
The above situation has improved slightly as some of the companies have gotten back into production although capacity utilization of around 10% leaves a lot to be desired in the supply of both the chemicals and laboratory equipment.
It is against this background that Willdave Laboratories (Pvt) Ltd has decided to venture into this industry in order to close the gap between demand and supply in this critical sector. To date the company has managed to supply laboratory equipment to various schools located around Zimbabwe.
